Please note that, since 30 November 2024, Belgian passport holders can travel to China without a visa for a maximum of 30 days (29 nights).
This policy, which applies only for tourism, business and friend/family visits, will be in force until the end of 2025. The Chinese authorities will then decide whether or not to extend this policy.
As a result, tourists and businessmen are able to travel to Hong Kong/Macao during their stay in China, provided their stay in China does not exceed 30 days.
On their return to China from Hong Kong/Macao, Belgian passport holders will again be able to enjoy another stay of up to 30 days (the duration of the stay in China before leaving for Hong Kong/Macao is not taken into account).
However, travelers whose stay in China exceeds 30 days will need at least a double-entry visa if they intend to visit Hong Kong and/or Macao during their trip to China.
